Fandom Cosmetics Review :)

Good afternoon/morning/night depending on where you are located on the planet :) I've finally had the time to finish this review of the 3 beautiful Fandom Cosmetic polishes that Annie sent to me. Just a little about Fandom Cosmetics is that all polishes 5-free, Vegan, and Cruelty Free!!! They are made by Annie and Leigh the Sci-fi lovers and more duo.

The polishes they sent to me were 'Anne with an E' from the Anne of Green Gables Collection, 'Sweetest Spirit' from the Downtown Abbey Collection, and Your Ken Can Kiss My Barbie from their Big Bang Theory Collection. I just want to say that the formula of the polishes was flawless! I was very amazed by the uniqueness of details that Annie puts into her brand example the letter that was included in the package. You can see bits of it here :)

First up is the beautiful Anne with an E from the Anne of Green Bables Collection. I applied 3 thin coats on my nails plus top coat. This green polish glows!(not in the dark, but the shimmers make it glow and it's so magical). I got so many compliments on the polish. I myself don't like green polish, but this one was a different. Most people that complimented the polish would start with the phrase,"I don't even like green polish, but the one you have on your nails is beautiful/different/so pretty etc.". Then I would say, "omg that was my reaction to the nail polish myself". Then they would ask where I got it and what indie polish was. It was pretty cool because I had to go into the whole world of indies and the little shops online.

I couldn't decide on what picture to post, so I chose my favorites. Enjoy the picture spam :D

I don't like adding a little logo to the pictures because it makes the resolution kind of bad.

Next is 'Sweetest Spirit' from the Downtown Abbey Collection. Sweetest Spirit  is a light blue crelly perfectly opaque in 3 thin coats. I had a little trouble catching the true color since it changes depending on the light.

The color is slightly different in this picture, but not that much.

Last but not least is 'Your Ken Can Kiss My Barbie' from their Big Bang Theory Collection. It is a sheer glitter polish made up of different sized yellow, light blue, periwinkle, and white hexes perfect for spring. This is one perfect coat over sinful colors end-less blue. Absolutely no fishing needed.

All in all the polishes were so pretty an the application was like butter. These polishes have made me a fan of Fandom Cosmetics. If you would like to be updated on the releases of Anne With An E, Sweetest Spirit, and Your Ken Can Kiss My Barbie check out +FandomCosmetics on IG or their website Fandom Cosmetics that features many different polishes and other goodies for all the fans out there!

Thanks for reading!! Till next time :)

Yellow Stopper Review

Hello to anyone reading this blog post! :D I hope you are having a wonderful day/evening/night. I had an AMAZING Spring break I ate delicious food, hung out with friends, and of course painted my nails.

Today I have a new favorite product of mine to review, it is YELLOW STOPPER top coat. It has made me want to use glitter polishes on all my nails ALL the time instead of just on an accent nail because as you all know removing glitter polish is a pain in the butt!

I used once coat of yellow stopper as a base and did a Jelly sandwich mani using Color Club "Youthful" and China Glaze "Luxe and Lush". A day and a half later I began to pick at my nails and it all came off! I mean there were a few pieces here and there of nail polish, but for the most part my nail was clean! I only had to use a little bit of polish remover and just ONE cotton ball for all my nails. I usually go through 3-5 cotton balls and a ton of nail polish remover to take off my glitter polish and it is truly frustrating.

Rating
I give Yellow Stopper 3.8 stars for the use I will be giving it(basecoat). The bottle very big and pretty cheap, retail price is $6.49+taxes(with the beauty card) at Sally's Beauty. The down side to the product is that it smells bad and I have a feeling it is not 3-free.

One last thing I can say is that since it is a top coat, I think that any top coat would be good to apply as a base coat when using glitter polish or swatching... I am not sure why I didn't think of that before I bought it. Maybe so you wouldn't have to :) Thanks for reading!

FLIP FANTASIA

Today I have 'Flip Fantasia' on my nails by Pipedream polish for you. I got a little creative while taking pictures and took loads of them!! Hopefully you don't get tired of scrolling down. I really love pictures so here ya go:

Fall is my favorite season of the year, the leaves and trees are beautiful and begin to change colors. The air is a bit colder and days gloomier, but sometimes we are lucky enough to see the sun. I love wearing long sleeves and sweaters so the cold doesn't really bother me. The smell of hot cocoa and tea warms the air, family reunions are just around the corner with the holidays coming up.
'Flip Fantasia' is not really a Fall color, but it brightens up my mood and I love glitter. You can't go wrong with glitter any day of the year.

'Flip fantasia'has large teal and silver circle holo glitter, medium turquoise circle glitter, and small silver, teal, and turquoise holo hex glitter in a coral base with a just hint of turquoise shimmer(PipeDreamPolish).
This is two coats of 'Flip Fantasia' + top coat. I fished a little for extra circles, but it was not a hassle at all! The formula was perfect and the application flawless!
I took pictures showing different hints of nature. From leaves, to the bark on the ground, the green leaves in the bushes. Nature is definitely very beautiful and the best background to any picture.

This polish is definitely bright, will be wearing it during the long Winter gloomy days

Don't you just love the contrast between the circles and the polish?

Thanks April for this amazing polish and speedy shipping! If you would like to check out April's Etsy shop click on the link: PipeDream Polish
Thank you for reading!
Will have a nature post next time.

Seduction on nails

Hi everyone! I am super excited to show you this nail combo of Cultnails 'Seduction' over Zoya 'Ibiza'. I have tried This topper over purple and black and it looks equally as awesome, but navy blue base just did it for me :)

Seduction is not a glitter topper, it's a flaky topper. The flakes change colors depending on the light, from red to orange, yellow, and green. It is magical I tell you!

I took A LOT of pictures to try to capture the transition, so hopefully I did an okay job.

You can sort of tell of the transition of the flakes.

I like how this picture emphasizes the green in the flakes. Isn't this glitter topper awesome??

This picture was for #madpropoct on IG hosted by Amy @indie500nails. You take a picture with a prop on Monday and at the end of the month she randomly chooses a winner and sends them a prize.:) Pictured is the watch my grandma gave me a few years back. I love and miss her.

This last picture is what inspired me to actually top Seduction over Ibiza! I made the ring before and was surprisingly able to catch the color shift in the ring. This is up for sale, all you have to do is click on the button that says "I sell on Etsy":)
I really wanted to share how AMAZING this combination was, hopefully you get to show me what you've paired Seduction with!
Hope you have a magical day!

KiloX Laquers an Indie brand with a cause

Hi Blogging world! I have not been here in a while and it saddens me because it means I don't really get to paint my nails and blog about them :/ I am busy with college, reading, hw, and all the good stuff.

ANYWAYS today I have taken some time to present to you a new indie polish line called kiloX Lacquers! The maker of the polishes is Morgan you can check her facebook page here: kiloX

This is how the box she sens looks like, Awesome isn't it!
The polishes are beautifully wrapped in little bubble wrap bags and come tightly packaged to prevent breakage.

She sent me her Rescue collection to swatch. Morgan was inspired by all the cute fluffy animals she owns and that her friends own. $1 per Rescue polish sold will be donated Las Vegas Humane Society, a local, no-kill shelter. Her bottles are very unique, which I liked very much.

I started off with Kilo, ablack based polish with iridescent green and golden micro glitter. Kilo was inspired by Morgan's cat and it captures Kilo's black coat and green eyes. This polish was a bit goopy, but not that hard to work with. It was opaque with two coats+ top coat. I can totally relate to this polish :)

Next is Saintly Bernard, a chocolate brown with a scattered holo. It was inspired by Kora a Saint Bernard, for full description and a glance at Kora go to Kilox.org. This was two coats+ top coat.

It is much more sparkly in real life!

This is kiloX Zulu, which is a bright blue lacquer with holographic teal and diamond glitter. Zulu was inspired by Morgan's beloved cat Zulu. This Polish was a bit sheer so I did 3 coats+top coat. also, the little diamonds settled at the bottom and I was only able to get one on the nail. Nonetheless it was a polish that is unique to my little polish stash. I think I'll layer it over black next time.

Meet Sienna,  a gold based polish with golden sparkles. This polish was inspired by "a sweet Golden Retriever". It is a beautiful golden polish that really does make your nails look like gold! This was 2 coats+top coat.

Lastly I have Tango, such a fun name :) This polish was inspired by Morgan's other kitty Tango!  Tango is vibrant green lacquer with multiple shades of iridescent green micro glitter. This polish was still a bit too sheer for my taste with 3 coats and top coat.

You should all check out her website kilox.org, she actually has pictures of her cute animals :)
Thanks Morgan for letting me swatch your polishes, it was a pleasure! Sorry for taking so long, I really wanted my nails to be a bit longer. Hope you like my swatches.
Til Next time,
xoxo Cathy

KBShimmer I got a crush on you!

Hey ladies and gents!!!This beauty is the other KbShimmer polish I purchased with Totally Tubular. I got a crush on blue's name is the true feeling I have for blue polishes since most of the polishes I own are either blue or have blue tint in them.

This polish is such a beautiful translucent blue jelly with various sizes of holographic glitter which makes this polish magical! Well anything with holo in it is magical. There are mini rainbows on your nails :) It can't get any better than that!

This is 3 coats of KBshimmer I got a crush on blue for three of my nails and 2 coats of OPI black onyx with Colorclub Harp on it for the Diamond accent nail.

Doesn't this look like crushed blue diamonds on my nails??

On KBShimmers's description of the polish, they said you cold layer this jelly over black so I tried it on my thumb. The glitters are more visible and is an alternative for my dark polish wearing chicks!

I included this picture just cause I liked it :D

Thank you Christy for the perfect polish and super speedy shipping!!
