Fandom Cosmetics Review :)

Good afternoon/morning/night depending on where you are located on the planet :) I've finally had the time to finish this review of the 3 beautiful Fandom Cosmetic polishes that Annie sent to me. Just a little about Fandom Cosmetics is that all polishes 5-free, Vegan, and Cruelty Free!!! They are made by Annie and Leigh the Sci-fi lovers and more duo.

The polishes they sent to me were 'Anne with an E' from the Anne of Green Gables Collection, 'Sweetest Spirit' from the Downtown Abbey Collection, and Your Ken Can Kiss My Barbie from their Big Bang Theory Collection. I just want to say that the formula of the polishes was flawless! I was very amazed by the uniqueness of details that Annie puts into her brand example the letter that was included in the package. You can see bits of it here :)

First up is the beautiful Anne with an E from the Anne of Green Bables Collection. I applied 3 thin coats on my nails plus top coat. This green polish glows!(not in the dark, but the shimmers make it glow and it's so magical). I got so many compliments on the polish. I myself don't like green polish, but this one was a different. Most people that complimented the polish would start with the phrase,"I don't even like green polish, but the one you have on your nails is beautiful/different/so pretty etc.". Then I would say, "omg that was my reaction to the nail polish myself". Then they would ask where I got it and what indie polish was. It was pretty cool because I had to go into the whole world of indies and the little shops online.

I couldn't decide on what picture to post, so I chose my favorites. Enjoy the picture spam :D

I don't like adding a little logo to the pictures because it makes the resolution kind of bad.

Next is 'Sweetest Spirit' from the Downtown Abbey Collection. Sweetest Spirit  is a light blue crelly perfectly opaque in 3 thin coats. I had a little trouble catching the true color since it changes depending on the light.

The color is slightly different in this picture, but not that much.

Last but not least is 'Your Ken Can Kiss My Barbie' from their Big Bang Theory Collection. It is a sheer glitter polish made up of different sized yellow, light blue, periwinkle, and white hexes perfect for spring. This is one perfect coat over sinful colors end-less blue. Absolutely no fishing needed.

All in all the polishes were so pretty an the application was like butter. These polishes have made me a fan of Fandom Cosmetics. If you would like to be updated on the releases of Anne With An E, Sweetest Spirit, and Your Ken Can Kiss My Barbie check out +FandomCosmetics on IG or their website Fandom Cosmetics that features many different polishes and other goodies for all the fans out there!

Thanks for reading!! Till next time :)

KBshimmer Totally Tubular!!!!

I recently bought some KBShimmer polishes and they are beautiful! Hex Appeal is the polish that made me want to get more polishes from Christy. The formula is a dream and the glitter combos are A-M-A-Z-I-N-G!! Something else about these polishes other than the quality is that they are not too pricey. They are all $8.75 a bit more than let's say mainstream Essie polishes, but worth every extra penny :)

I really bought this polish because it reminded me on Sulley from the Movie Monsters Inc which is one of my favorite movies. I also liked the name! Super cool Yo!!

Totally Tubular is a tealish blueish color, with fuchsia circles , aqua circles, and different colored hex glitters.

This was 2 coats of Totally Tubular over a basecoat+ top coat. The Formula and the application was a dream. This polish seemed like a crelly(jelly/creme) formula.

For the accent(index finger) I did a tye dye effect(that's what I call it) using two different polishes adding a good amount and swirling them together with a toothpick.

Totally tubular is a bit darker in person.

I loved this polish so much that I am wearing on my toes at the moment!!

31 Day Challenge, Day 8: Metallic

I got lucky on this Challenge, I only have one Metallic polish in my polish stash and it is Orly Shine!!
Hadn't used tape in a while, so I was like why not? I went on google for inspiration and 2 of the designs were by dressed up nails and someone else, I forgot her name(sorry!). The Diamond was my idea and it took up the most tape and a lot of concentration.

I am so stoked on these nails! Even though my tape was not that sticky and I messed up a lot, my Diamond nail makes me a happy girl! You'll be seeing a lot of diamonds in the future posts lol.

This is one lightly dabbed coat and painted coat of OPI Casino Royal(basically two coats) over one coat of Orly Shine.

I dab polish on with a sponge first because 2 normal coats would be too much. Thick polish is no bueno. Most of the time I do it thick anyways, but I really try not to.

Still working on my tape skills, I need to make sure my triangle peaks are in the middle.

This is all the tape I had to use for the diamond, I think I'll do a tutorial very soon(both pictorial and video tutorial)!!

I am so proud of this diamond :D

Remember to Shine bright like a Diamond!!!(I had to lol)

31 Day Challenge Day 7: Black and White

I would have liked to do the design by Mely @rockyournails in black and white, but I don't have a white. I mean I had a white up until my littler 5 year old sister became the polish mixing elf and poured in a pink into Tempest my white cult nails polish :(

So, I decided to go with classic black nails with a fine shimmer polish by venique on top.
I really love how a black polish looks on nails, I think it looks classy. Some people say its goth, but definitely think it's cool.

This is 2 coat of OPI Black Onyx and the shimmer by venique(I can't find the darn thing at the moment to tell you the name.)

Like the little black dress, this makes your nails look nice and sleek ;)

I've always wanted to do both of these looks so I did both. I have seen this on Google, yeaahhhh I think it looks better on other nails. The checkers look cool, but as you can see I need more practice :)

Practice makes perfect!!!

#31DC2013 Day 4/5: Green and Blue

I cheated during the 4/5 day of the challenge! I joined two of them together so I could be on track.
Blue has to be one of my favorite colors, from light blue to navy blue. I think It is one of the colors that I mostly have! Green is alright, not my favorite, but I to wear it once in a while.

I needed to do this mani quick so I didn't really do any nail art, but regardless the combination between Sally Hansen Mermaid's Tale and Zoya Ibiza is beyond BEAUTIFUL. These colors were made for each other!

I always like to layer any kind of jelly ove a base color because I don't really like the patches that are sometimes visible in the sun.

I used one coat of Zoya Ibiza and layered 2 coats of Sally Hansen Mermaid's on top on the ring and pinky finger. I just did two coats of Ibiza over the pointer and middle finger

Mermaid's tale has a special place in my heart. My mom put it inside my cake on my 19th Birthday, I wasn't really expecting that, it was a really nice touch.

This is an old mani I did in March 2013, I layered it over a greener base and did a fish tail.

Challenge done and accepted, even though I cheated ;)
Till Next time!

Polish Addict Nail Color Cupcakes & Sprinkles Review

Hope everyone is having a lovely day and if you aren't, really try to bring yourself to think positive happy thoughts. One of my most respected teachers always said, "you are responsible for whatever you are feeling, you yourself make are the only one who makes yourself upset", I took it as, "you are a dictator of your life, try to make yourself happy". I know trying to make yourself think positives sometimes is very hard(trust me I have to work on this), but there is not enough time in our lives to be upset. Enjoy your family, the person next to you, smile at whoever you are with, there is not enough time to spend in the world with the person you love.

Lol, I got ooeeey goooeyy on you! Let's talk about what you actually came on my blog for....

This is the bottle of Laura's @polishaddictnailcolor polish called Cup cakes & sprinkles. The polish  is a light pinkish/purpleish jelly, jampacked with different kinds of glitter!!!! Glitter is a pain to take off, but it is so beautiful!

I decided to layer two coats of this polish over a similar, but darker base+ topcoat on my pointer finger to show how it looks like if used as a glitter topper.

To the rest of my nails I applied 4 thin coats+ top coat. I could have gone with a 5th coat on my middle finger because you can still see parts of my nail. But I still like how it looks, It  is very feminine, fun, and light. There was no need for fishing for the glitters and glitters do not feel rough. One of the big pink circular glitters was curling, but the top coat solved that problem.

I think I will be using it as a glitter topper from now on because I got a mini size and I don't want it to be gone fast :(

Thank you Laura for my polish and speedy shipping!!

Thank you for reading & remember to smile :D

Til Next time!

Econmonster's Grand opening night at Black Cat Collective Vintage Emporium!

This is going to be a blog mostly just stating what is going on in the picture and about my experience at Econmonster's grand opening at its new venue :)

This is my Best fraaand Reena Datt, we've been friends since 2009 and I brought her because going out with her is always fun!(she looked cute huh!guess her nationality, most people guess wrong :P)

This is the front of the building, I love the name and everything about it. Once you go in you go through some gates, but I forgot to take a picture. It has the cutest little garden/patio? that was lit by white Christmas lights, it was beautiful.Once I went in there were a lot of vendors selling things they had made themselves(diy). There were jewelers, artists, thrifters, polish maker(Katherine), other crafts, a bar, and a little dj(music box?).

This was Katherine's display for her polishes, if you were at her first nail polish party, it was technically set-up the same way.

She was  alo selling some cute earrings, necklaces, and rings made with her polishes. There were also some blank cabochon blanks and stones so we could make our jewelry with whatever kind of polish we wanted to.

This is some of the jewelry she had made! So much to choose from!

I swear Katherine has the cutest set-ups.

She had a little table set-up enough to fit about six people, where ladies were chatting away, painting their nails, where my friend and I were making our rings.

I made my Cabochon using Ophelia's love a dark purple thermal polish with glitter.
This was the finished product!! I loved it ! :D

Here's a picture of my friend and I lol, I mean it's a must when you go out!

There were props and a background set-up so people could take pictures.
Do you like our mustaches?

Hehe, what do you think of me in a bow-tie?

This is the lovely Katherine and I. She has a wonderful name doesn't she ;), I am so glad I met her she is a beautiful person inside and out, she is very kind , has wonderful ideas, and great patience in helping people who were painting nails.

Another one, this time all of us three :))

After we were finished making our rings, we took a tour of Black Cat Collective Vintage Emporium. Ecomonster was on the second floor. Thoey(the owner) was holding a toothbrush drive and silent auction from 6-9 p.m.

She was selling beautifully crafted and vintage products.

Loved this typewriter and her logo of three little monsters.

These Diy candles in egg shells are unbelievable and super cute!

I'm not sure is she was selling the Pinata, but I would totally want it for my birthday!!

I was so in awe of the place that I forgot to take pictures of the other rooms where there were also other vendors.  There were a lot of vendors and mini shops where they sold everything from clothes, shoes, silverware, toys, art, sound systems, jewelry, bikes, love seats, etch. The Vintage-y feel the place had made my friend and I felt like we were back in time, except that everyone was wearing normal clothes. It would be cool if they had a mini party where everyone dressed like people did back in the day. It was a really new and cool experience. Thank you Katherine and Thoey for the awesome day! Reena thank for accompanying me hopefully you had as much fun as I did.
