Jelly Sandwich!!

Yesterday I decided to enter Amy aka @Mcpolish's giveaway for her reaching 2000 followers on Instagram! She wanted people to enter by posting a picture of their favorite jelly polish or to make a jelly sammich using different polishes. I have some jelly polishes and it would have been easier just to pick one, but I wanted to get a little creative and create a jelly sandwich.

I used two coats of Cultnails Awakening for the base, 1-2 coats of glitter polish by Love and beauty, one very thin coat of Awakening over the glitter, and finished of the mani with a top coat.

I had never tried doing a jelly sandwich using these polishes, but they worked out well together :)

I was thinking..... Forever21 has pretty nice polishes for a very affordable price! No more investing in high priced mainstream polishes...maybe.

Now we have to wait and see which mani Amy chooses as her favorite! Wish me luck :D
The winner will get a lot of amazing polishes, so you should head on down to IG and enter your nails!!!

OPI Ate Berries in the Canaries & Polka.com

It's been some time since I've worn a manicure that is really simple. No nail art, no nada. I really need to practice on doing nail art, but my designs don't really come out that well so I just stop. Also, I've been uninspired wish someone could do my nails for once lol.

On a good note I have been noticing that my bottle pictures are getting better, at least I think so. My fingers don't look as awkward as they used to :)

Polka. com is a glitter polish with pink, light blue, and periwinkle colored glitter with even finer tinier loose periwinkle glitter.

Ate Berries in the canaries is creme polish that is a dark-ish fuschia color. It was very smooth and easy to apply.

Here is 1 coat of Polka.com over 2 coats of Ate Berries in the Canaries + top coat.

I really liked the end results of the combination of the two polishes, it is like they were meant for each other!!

It was kind of hard to show the true color of the polish. It seems more pink here than it is in person.

I decided to add a matte finish my to nails to try to show the true color and it came out better!

This picture is just to show you how the nails on my right hand look. My nails are super short because I am right-handed and I use it more than my left hand. There really is a tremendous difference between my nails on both hands. I am working on getting them to where I want them to be.

Thanks for reading!

Polish Addict Nail Color Cupcakes & Sprinkles Review

Hope everyone is having a lovely day and if you aren't, really try to bring yourself to think positive happy thoughts. One of my most respected teachers always said, "you are responsible for whatever you are feeling, you yourself make are the only one who makes yourself upset", I took it as, "you are a dictator of your life, try to make yourself happy". I know trying to make yourself think positives sometimes is very hard(trust me I have to work on this), but there is not enough time in our lives to be upset. Enjoy your family, the person next to you, smile at whoever you are with, there is not enough time to spend in the world with the person you love.

Lol, I got ooeeey goooeyy on you! Let's talk about what you actually came on my blog for....

This is the bottle of Laura's @polishaddictnailcolor polish called Cup cakes & sprinkles. The polish  is a light pinkish/purpleish jelly, jampacked with different kinds of glitter!!!! Glitter is a pain to take off, but it is so beautiful!

I decided to layer two coats of this polish over a similar, but darker base+ topcoat on my pointer finger to show how it looks like if used as a glitter topper.

To the rest of my nails I applied 4 thin coats+ top coat. I could have gone with a 5th coat on my middle finger because you can still see parts of my nail. But I still like how it looks, It  is very feminine, fun, and light. There was no need for fishing for the glitters and glitters do not feel rough. One of the big pink circular glitters was curling, but the top coat solved that problem.

I think I will be using it as a glitter topper from now on because I got a mini size and I don't want it to be gone fast :(

Thank you Laura for my polish and speedy shipping!!

Thank you for reading & remember to smile :D

Til Next time!

Swatch of Polished by KPT Nostalgia

Hello Lovelies! Have I ever mentioned my love for thermals? I don't think I have, but now you know! They are so magical and it is still amazing to me, I love how they change in an instant, can't help but stare at your nails. While you are washing dishes, when you go out and its hot, while taking a shower, etc.

Nostalgia was given to my by Katherine, she had little presents that she was giving away for people who RSVP'd to her event. In that little box came Nostalgia, little nail art wheel, a file, and chocolates. She is  so giving !!!

Nostalgia is a polish that dries on Matte and is a super light purple with shimmer(when the temperature of your fingers is warm/hot).

If you have longer nails, your tips tend to look like this. This is also the transitioning effect.

When your skin is cold or you are using cold water, Nostalgia turns into a dark purple with lots of shimmer. In person, the purple looks more intense. I painted 2 coats of this polish on my first three fingers and on my pinky I painted it with 3(plus top coat on all fingers). You can tell more that 3 coats is better (at least for me), when your skin is cold because I noticed teeny tiny patches on my middle finger. I couldn't really tell most of the time because my hands were always almost warm.

This last picture is of a ring I made with Ophelia's Love at the grand opening of Ecomonster at it's new venue, at Katherine's little DIY station. Ophelia's love is a thermal polish, that is a dark intense purple with grey undertones and with with even more shimmer/glitter that turns into a really light, light purple with the shimmer/glittler. I really forgot that it was a thermal and one day that it was hot, it changed to a really light color. I got really freaked out! But, then I put it in a cool area and it changed back, AMAZING!!

Thermals will forever continue to be magical! Don't you agree?
